I believe the power of fasting as it relates to prayer is the spiritual atomic bomb that our Lord has given us to destroy the strongholds of evil and usher in a great revival and spiritual harvest around the world, more so in the State of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Increasingly I have been gripped with a growing sense of urgency to call upon God to send revival to our beloved country. Lately, I had a growing conviction that God wanted me to fast and pray for revival in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and for the fulfilment of the Great Commission in obedience to our Lord’s command.
I never questioned the call, but like Eli “Is this truly God’s call for me?” But with each passing day grew into weeks and then months, His call grew stronger and more clear. Finally, I was convinced. God was calling me to fast, and He would not make such a call without a specific reason or purpose. With this conviction, I ask you to join me with excitement and expectancy mounting in my heart, praying, “Lord, what do you want me to do?”
I believe such a fast is a sovereign call of God because of the magnitude of the sins in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and of the Church. Sins are so rampant in every circle that the land is divided politically. Families are divided and destroyed because of the sins of politics. The Lord impressed that upon my heart, as well as the urgent need to help accelerate the fulfilment of the Great Commission in this generation.
I ask you to join me on June 9 to fast and pray with me for 21 days. Let our confidence be in the Lord to help us. Each day His presence will encourage you to continue. The longer you fast, the more you will sense the presence of the Lord. The Holy Spirit will refresh your soul and spirit, and you will experience the joy of the Lord as seldom before. Biblical truths will leap at you from the pages of God’s Word. Your faith will soar as you humble yourself and cry out to God and rejoice in His presence.
This will prove to be the most important twenty-one days of your life. As you wait upon the Lord, the Holy Spirit will give you the assurance that St. Vincent and the Grenadines and much of the world will, before the end of the year 2018, experience a great spiritual awakening. This divine visit from heaven will kindle the greatest spiritual harvest in the history of the Church. But before God comes in revival power, the Holy Spirit will call many souls of God’s people to repent, fast, and pray in the spirit of 2 Chronicles 7:14:
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
The scope of this revival depends on how believers in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the rest of the world respond to this call. I have spent many years studying God’s Word and listening to His voice, and His message could not have been more clear.
I encourage you to stay with me as we intervene on behalf of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the people. It is the responsibility of the church to seek God and pray for the authorities, but there comes a time when you have to ask God to do a specific work to save the souls from destruction. This could be your turn to accomplish and see the word of God in its fullness in your very eyes.
