Day 10: The Power of Prayer

Scripture: Luke 11:1
“One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, ‘Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.’”

Prayer is the lifeblood of spiritual connection, a sacred practice passed down through generations. Our ancestors knew the power in speaking to God—whether in times of joy or distress, their prayers shaped their lives and communities. Jesus teaching His disciples to pray shows that prayer is not just a ritual but a vital relationship.

Walking in their light invites us to deepen our prayer life, connecting with God and with the unseen cloud of witnesses. Through prayer, we align ourselves with God’s purposes and draw strength from the heritage of intercession that supports us.

Challenge: Dedicate extra time today to pray intentionally for your family, church, or challenges facing your community.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for the gift of prayer and the legacy of faithful intercession from those who came before me. Teach me to pray with honesty and persistence, trusting in Your power and love. May my prayers carry the light of faith forward. Amen.
