Day 21: Healing and Renewal

Scripture: Joel 2:25
“I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten—the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm—my great army that I sent among you.”

Through the trials and hardships, our ancestors experienced God’s promise of healing and restoration. Their stories remind us that even when life has been marked by loss, interruption, or devastation, God is a God of renewal who restores what has been broken. Walking in the light of our ancestors means embracing the hope that comes with healing and trusting that God’s mercy can make all things new.

Many before us bore burdens, both personal and communal, but they found hope in God’s redeeming power. Their faith in restoration sustained communities and lit a path forward. Today, we are invited to step into that promise—laying down past hurts, inviting God’s healing, and welcoming renewal in our hearts and relationships.

Healing is both a gift and a process that requires surrender. Our ancestors teach us that renewal comes when we open ourselves fully to God’s restoring touch, trusting that He will repay what has been lost in His perfect timing.

Challenge: Take a step toward healing today—whether through prayer, forgiveness, or seeking God’s guidance for restoration in an area of your life.

Prayer:
Merciful God, I thank You for the healing and renewal You offer through every generation. Restore what has been broken in my life and grant me the courage to receive Your healing touch. Help me to walk forward with hope and faith in Your restoration. Amen.
