Sir Godfrey Gregg
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. HEBREWS 11:1 NLT
Faith is a term used by many but is often misunderstood. Faith isn’t a term applied to people who believe God has a cool factor. It doesn’t apply to the personal motivation to pray to an undetermined deity. It’s not wistfully thinking that everything will work out.
For the Christian, faith is a decision about whether you believe God can do what He’s promised. Faith is confidence in God’s perfect plan. Faith is knowing that you need to be rescued and accepting it. Faith is believing God’s truth even without proof. Faith is the assurance that God directs Your everyday steps and has your best interests in mind.
Faith is more than a “God” acknowledgement in an acceptance speech. It’s more than working hard for a spiritual cause. Faith is substantially more than You may give it credit for.
Over the next few days, we’ll learn that faith believes in the impossible and then sees the impossible become possible. Faith leans into God’s plan and is supported by God’s hand. Faith introduces you to a forever friendship with the Father and delivers the benefits of a sold-out belief in truth the world needs to discover.
