THREEFOLD CORD
A triple cord whose strands are of different colors; it is used in several Rituals as an instructive symbol. A striking allusion to the strength of a triple cord is found in Ecclesiastics (iv, 12) “And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” Yet we must remember, as Dr. Granville says in the Moral Warfare of the cause at heart, So let it be in God’s own might – We gird us for the coming fight – And, strong in Him whose cause is ours In conflict with unholy powers, We grasp the weapons He has given,- The Light, and Truth, and Love of Heaven
